4. PRE-OWNED AND VINTAGE WATCHES

Many watches offered by TERNI are pre-owned, vintage, previously serviced, restored, polished, refinished, or fitted with replacement components.

Normal signs of age and previous ownership may be present. These can include scratches, surface wear, previous polishing, bracelet stretch, patina, replacement components, restored components, or variations from the watch’s original factory configuration.

TERNI makes commercially reasonable efforts to disclose the known condition of each watch and any material information available to us at the time of sale. Because many watches have had multiple owners or service histories, TERNI may not be able to independently verify every component, service event, alteration, or historical detail.

Unless expressly confirmed in writing:

A watch is not represented as being entirely original.
Previous service history is not guaranteed.
Production dates and model years may be approximate.
Water resistance is not guaranteed.
Manufacturer warranty coverage is not included.
Timekeeping performance may vary, particularly for vintage watches.
Boxes, papers, accessories, and service records are included only when specifically identified in the listing or invoice.

5. AFTERMARKET AND REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS

Some watches or watch-related products offered or serviced by TERNI may contain aftermarket, custom, restored, refinished, recut, or replacement components.

These may include bezels, dials, bracelets, links, clasps, crystals, diamonds, gemstones, inserts, hands, crowns, or other watch parts.

Where TERNI knows that a material component is aftermarket, customized, restored, refinished, or replaced, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to identify that information in the product description, quotation, service approval, or invoice.

Aftermarket and customized components are not manufactured, approved, or warranted by the original watch manufacturer unless expressly stated otherwise.

Any customization, restoration, refinishing, polishing, component replacement, or aftermarket modification should be considered carefully by the client before approval. TERNI does not represent that modified watches will be accepted for service by the original manufacturer or valued in the same manner as watches remaining in their original factory configuration.

6. PRODUCT INFORMATION

TERNI works to present product descriptions, photographs, specifications, measurements, colors, materials, diamond information, watch references, and condition details as accurately as reasonably possible.

However:

Colors may appear differently depending on the screen or device being used.

Photographs may enlarge or reduce the apparent size of an item.

9. WATCH SERVICES AND REPAIRS

All watch-service estimates are subject to inspection.

An initial estimate may change if additional damage, wear, missing components, corrosion, movement issues, prior modifications, or necessary parts are discovered during disassembly or service.

TERNI will request client approval before performing material additional work that exceeds an approved quotation, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect the watch from further damage.

Repair and restoration work may involve polishing, refinishing, recutting, replacing components, opening the case, testing, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, gemstone setting, or other procedures expressly approved by the client.

Results may vary depending on the age, condition, construction, previous work, and remaining material of the watch or component.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise identified, all content appearing on this website belongs to or is licensed to Lia Terni LLC.

This includes, without limitation:
